An original song/video, inspired by my sister, Susan, Nile Rodgers and the "We Are Family Foundation" (WAFF; www.wearefamilyfoundation.org) - a not-for-profit organization dedicated to world peace. About 5 years ago, my sister, Susan, called me and: (a) informed me that, as part of her involvement with WAFF, she had an exciting and unique opportunity to participate in "two recording sessions" with a world-renown, legendary songwriter, musician and producer - Nile Rodgers (who also founded WAFF, and who wrote the song, "We Are Family" for Sister Sledge in 1979; he still tours the world with the group he founded, CHIC, whose number-one hit, "Le Freak" remains as Warner Bros.' biggest-selling single of all time; he has also produced, written or played for a number of the industry's greatest artists, including Madonna, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Duran Duran, and the B-52's), and... (b) she also asked me to help her by writing two songs for her (or us) to bring into the recording sessions, which Nile would then record and produce.
